Appliance Install Technician / Driver

About the Role

Storr Logistic Services, Inc is hiring an Appliance Install Technician and Driver in Raleigh, NC to deliver, install, and set up appliances in customer homes. This full-time appliance installation technician role combines hands-on technical expertise with excellent customer service, ensuring every installation meets manufacturer specifications and customer satisfaction standards.

What You'll Do

• Safely transport appliances to customer locations and install a variety of appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers
• Install appliances according to manufacturer specifications and local building codes
• Test appliances to ensure proper operation after installation
• Diagnose and resolve installation issues or problems with appliance operation
• Perform minor repairs or adjustments as needed during installation
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and educating customers on appliance operation, care, and maintenance
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while interacting with customers
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including electrical and plumbing codes
• Complete installation documentation including customer sign-off and feedback forms
• Maintain accurate records of installations, services performed, and any issues encountered
• Report accidents, injuries, or safety violations to management immediately

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous experience in appliance installation, maintenance, or a related field (preferred)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy appliances and equipment
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR)
• DOT physical certification (where required)
• Ability to pass drug screening and criminal background investigation with job performance reference check
• Compliance with the company's Driver Qualification Policy
