Appliance Install Technician

About the Role

Home Appliance, a family-owned company established in 1962 and voted Medina County's Best of the Best Appliance Store for 17 consecutive years, is seeking a skilled Appliance Install Technician in Brunswick, Ohio. As an appliance installation technician, you will install a variety of household appliances including ranges, refrigerators, laundry machines, dishwashers, and ventilation systems, delivering white glove service from pre-site inspection to job completion.

What You'll Do

• Install household appliances according to manufacturer guidelines and project specifications with precision and accuracy
• Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks and vans to transport materials and appliances to job sites
• Take accurate measurements, prepare work areas, and ensure appliances are installed securely
• Safely handle moving and lifting of heavy items using proper techniques and standard lifting equipment
• Communicate effectively with clients during installations to address questions and ensure exceptional customer service
• Keep work areas clean and organized before, during, and after installations
• Identify and troubleshoot installation challenges, providing effective solutions
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, clients, and team members for effective project coordination
• Complete accurate paperwork, upload photos, and maintain records of all installations
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure safe handling and installation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience as an installer or in a similar role
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics
• Strong understanding of quality control principles
• Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and perform required physical tasks
• Ability to operate machinery and use hand tools
• Outgoing personality with exceptional customer service skills and can-do attitude
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Certification or diploma from a technical school preferred but not required
• Ability to operate 26ft box truck is a plus
• Must supply and bring own tools to work daily

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time position, Monday–Friday with weekends as needed. Base pay of $43,828 per year with ability to earn commission; motivated individuals can reach earnings in the $100,000s.
