Appliance Installation and Repair Technician

About the Role

Best Buy USA is hiring an Appliance Installation and Repair Technician in Tucson, AZ to diagnose, repair, and install large appliances in customers' homes. As an appliance installation technician, you'll deliver exceptional in-home service experiences while managing complex repairs, customer expectations, and crew operations to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliances and consumer electronics
• Prepare products for repair and perform triage to evaluate the severity of device issues
• Manage service routes, part orders, returns, and inventory to control costs and minimize losses
• Maintain accurate work orders, close jobs in a timely manner, and keep customers informed throughout the repair process
• Lead a two-person crew as needed and provide training and feedback to team members
• Offer alternative solutions when customers decline repairs and de-escalate difficult client interactions
• Manage vehicle maintenance and coordinate with team members to ensure operational efficiency

What You'll Need

• 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment
• 1 year of experience in the electronics industry
• Active knowledge of home theater and appliance products
• Current, valid driver's license and driving record meeting Best Buy safety standards
• Ability to lift 75 pounds unassisted and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Flexible schedule availability, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of hire
• Preferred: Customer service experience resolving complex issues
