Appliance Installation and Repair Technician

About the Role

Best Buy USA is hiring an Appliance Installation and Repair Technician in Hollywood, FL to diagnose, repair, and install large appliances in customers' homes. This full-time role combines technical expertise with exceptional customer service, delivering seamless in-home appliance repair and installation experiences while ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliance products
• Prepare customers' products for repair and manage complex repair workflows
• Perform triage, evaluate device issue severity, and manage client expectations with professionalism
• Manage service routes, coordinate part orders, and track returns to minimize costs and losses
• Lead two-person crews and fulfill appointments independently or as a team
• Offer alternative solutions and de-escalate difficult customer interactions when needed
• Maintain accurate work orders, close repairs in a timely manner, and provide feedback to team members
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with your team

What You'll Need

• 6 months of hands-on experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products
• 1 year of customer service or in-home services experience
• 1 year of experience in the electronics industry
• Active knowledge and learning capability with home theater and appliance products
• Current, valid driver's license and ability to meet Best Buy's driving record standards
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to lift 75 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Flexibility to work holidays, nights, and weekends as needed
• State or local licensing acquired and maintained within 90 days of hire, as required
• Customer service experience resolving complex issues (preferred)
