About the Role

Best Buy USA is hiring an Appliance Installation and Repair Technician in Madison, Wisconsin. As a Repair Double Agent, you'll travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliances while delivering exceptional service. This permanent full-time role combines technical expertise with customer care, ensuring every appliance installation and repair job exceeds expectations and maximizes profitability.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliances and home theater products
• Prepare customers' products for repair in the home and manage work orders with accuracy
• Manage routes, part orders, and returns to control costs and minimize losses
• Perform triage, manage client expectations, and provide de-escalation in difficult interactions
• Offer alternative solutions when customers decline repair services
• Fulfill appointments both individually and as the leader of a two-person installation crew
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with team members
• Provide feedback and training opportunities to team members

What You'll Need

• 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment
• 1 year of experience in the electronics industry
• Active knowledge of home theater and appliance products
• Current, valid driver's license and ability to meet Best Buy safety driving standards
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to lift 75 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Flexible schedule availability, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• State or local licensing as required, to be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Preferred: Customer service experience resolving complex issues
