Appliance Installation and Repair Technician

About the Role

Best Buy USA is hiring an Appliance Installation and Repair Technician in Mount Laurel, New Jersey to diagnose, repair, and install large appliances in customers' homes. As an appliance installation technician, you'll deliver exceptional in-home service, manage complex repairs, and lead two-person crews while maximizing customer satisfaction and profitability.

What You'll Do

• Travel to customers' homes to diagnose, disassemble, and repair large appliances and consumer electronics
• Prepare products for repair and perform triage to assess issue severity
• Manage service routes, part orders, and inventory to minimize costs and losses
• Maintain accurate work orders and close orders in a timely manner
• Lead a two-person appliance installation crew and provide training feedback to team members
• Offer alternative solutions when customers decline repair services
• Manage vehicle maintenance and provide feedback on service quality
• De-escalate difficult customer interactions and exceed service expectations

What You'll Need

• 6 months of experience delivering, installing, or repairing consumer electronic products or appliances
• 1 year of experience in a customer service or in-home services environment
• 1 year of experience in the electronics industry
• Active knowledge and learning experience with home theater and appliance products
• Current, valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Best Buy safety standards
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Ability to lift 75 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• State or local licensing acquired and maintained within 90 days of hire, as required
