Appliance Installation Technician

About the Role

Hoffmann Brothers is hiring an Appliance Installation Technician in St. Louis, Missouri to deliver and install household appliances for residential and commercial customers. As an appliance installer, you'll handle everything from refrigerators and dishwashers to washing machines and dryers, ensuring professional white-glove service and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Deliver and install household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, washers, dryers, stoves, microwaves, and garbage disposals
• Cut counter tops and cabinets (excluding granite) to accommodate new installations
• Connect water and gas lines with careful inspection and leak testing after installation or removal
• Dismantle and reassemble appliances and equipment as needed
• Observe and test the operation of installed appliances and make initial adjustments
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried company truck
• Create detailed job notes in customer accounts for future reference
• Communicate clearly with customers throughout the service call to explain what is happening
• Work with customer experience coordinators and dispatchers to ensure service call success
• Provide frequent status updates to dispatchers for scheduling purposes
• Share experiences with coworkers and recommend process improvements

What You'll Need

• Minimum 2 years of experience in the appliance installation or service field
• General knowledge of safe working practices and Missouri OSHA requirements
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
• Ability to adjust communication style to provide excellent customer experience
• Ability to work safely and promote safety among coworkers
• Physical capability to regularly lift and move 80 lbs or more
• Ability to climb ladders and work in hot, cold, and confined spaces
• Close vision and ability to adjust focus for detailed work
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to learn new ideas and share knowledge with team members

Compensation & Benefits

This appliance installation technician position offers competitive hourly compensation with an estimated annual salary of $74,786. Benefits include a company-provided truck and van, company-provided power tools, 8% 401(k) match, free health/dental/vision insurance for employee and dependents, 3 weeks paid vacation starting day one, 9 paid holidays, bonus programs, paid training, cell phone reimbursement, and a tool replacement policy.
