About the Role

Appliance Distributors Unlimited (ADU) is hiring a reliable and motivated full-time Appliance Installer Assistant in Halethorpe, MD to support our installation team. This hands-on appliance installation technician role offers the opportunity to learn a skilled trade while assisting with delivering, handling, and installing luxury appliances in residential and commercial settings across Baltimore, Virginia, DC, and surrounding areas. Since 1982, ADU has been the Mid-Atlantic's most trusted source for kitchen and laundry appliances, and this position is ideal for someone looking to grow into a full Appliance Installer role.

What You'll Do

• Assist with delivery, handling, and installation of high-end appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, and other luxury units in residential and commercial settings
• Load and unload appliances from trucks, ensuring safe and secure transport
• Safely handle and move large appliances up to 100 lbs independently, and up to 1000 lbs with team support using straps, dollies, and equipment
• Perform frequent standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and crouching while working both indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Maintain a professional and clean work environment
• Interact professionally with customers and team members to reflect high standards of professionalism
• Follow directions and work both independently and as part of a team
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Need

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• DOT certification or ability to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) check per applicable laws
• High school diploma
• Physical ability to safely perform heavy lifting and maneuver large appliances
• 1–2 years of experience with appliance installation or related field is preferred
• Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with hand and power tools
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and self-motivation
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with potential overtime based on project demands
• Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Team-oriented and customer service focused

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $18–$25 per hour based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance; retirement matching plan; paid time off (PTO); and paid holidays. Weekly pay.
