About the Role

Martin Appliance, a trusted appliance retailer serving Central Pennsylvania since 1973, is hiring an Appliance Installer in Altoona, PA. This is a hands-on career opportunity in appliance installation and delivery with paid on-the-job training, cross-training opportunities, and genuine room for growth in a faith-based, team-oriented culture.

What You'll Do

• Install and set up household appliances in customers' homes with precision and care.
• Load, unload, move, and handle large appliances safely and professionally.
• Operate company vehicles and travel within approximately one hour of the Altoona store for deliveries and installations.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and adjust on-site when needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate with customers about appliance setup, installation options, and basic product operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle and work environment.
• Participate in hands-on training and cross-training opportunities to build skills across departments.

What You'll Need

• Experience in appliance installation, appliance delivery driving, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other hands-on trades is helpful but not required.
• Hands-on problem solver with common sense and mechanical ability to troubleshoot installation challenges on-site.
• Strong customer-focused communication skills and professional representation in the field.
• Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, and commitment to productivity and team support.
• Physically active and comfortable lifting, bending, kneeling, and handling appliances weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Servant-hearted team player who values teamwork, integrity, and serving others.

Compensation & Benefits

$21–25/hour, based on experience. Full-time Monday–Friday schedule from 7 am–5 pm with limited Saturday work.
