Appliance Technician

About the Role

Archway Service is hiring a Field Service Appliance Technician in Charleston, SC to repair commercial food preparation and cooking equipment for grocery store customers. This full-time appliance installation and repair role requires daily driving to customer sites throughout Charleston and surrounding areas, with occasional overnight travel. You'll earn $20–$24 per hour based on experience as a commercial appliance technician.

What You'll Do

• Repair and troubleshoot commercial food prep and cooking equipment including deli fryers, rotisseries, convection ovens, display cases, slicers, and dishwashing machines
• Service bakery equipment such as ovens, proofers, and mixers
• Maintain and repair meat room equipment including band saws, meat slicers, grinders, and tenderizers
• Respond to and complete service work orders assigned to your territory
• Drive extensively in a company-owned cargo van throughout your assigned service area
• Complete electronic service tickets and submit documentation to the corporate office
• Manage parts inventory and maintain the company vehicle assigned to you
• Maintain excellent customer relations and meet service expectations

What You'll Need

• 1+ years of mechanical knowledge and experience (Required)
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel 25% (Required)
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Experience working on grocery store deli, bakery, and meat room food preparation equipment preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Supply your own hand tools
• Excellent customer relations and communication skills
• Self-starter capable of working independently
• Available for weekend, holiday, and after-hours work
• Must pass drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time hourly position paying $20–$24 per hour.
