About the Role

Grand Appliance and TV, a recognized Top Workplace for 2026, is hiring a Custom Appliance Installer in Durant, Iowa. As a custom appliance installation technician, you'll install built-in household appliances including refrigerators, dishwashers, cooktops, and wall ovens in customers' homes while delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.

What You'll Do

• Install built-in appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, cooktops, and wall ovens in residential settings
• Observe and test appliance operation, making initial installation adjustments as needed
• Disassemble and reinstall existing kitchen cabinets, and assemble and install prefabricated kitchen cabinets in conjunction with appliance installation
• Level and install new appliances to ensure proper operation
• Connect water lines to dishwashers and gas or electric connections to wall ovens and cooktops
• Verify that appliances are secure and level before completing installation
• Uninstall existing appliances when necessary
• Advise customers about proper use and care of appliances and provide emergency service numbers

What You'll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent education
• Previous experience in appliance installation
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to physically carry 50+ lbs
• Excellent customer service skills
• Background check clearance
