Driver Manager- Lake Elmo, MN 3PL

About the Role

Temco Logistics, a subsidiary of The Home Depot, is hiring a Driver Manager in Lake Elmo, MN to lead operations and drive excellence in white-glove appliance delivery. This leadership position combines transportation operations oversight with hands-on driver coaching and compliance management in a fast-growing 3PL environment serving the home appliance installation industry.

What You'll Do

• Monitor on-road operations and support drivers with calls, exceptions, and issue resolution
• Prepare manifests, review routing for optimization, and ensure DOT compliance
• Train and onboard new customer service staff and drivers
• Build office and driver schedules while maintaining hours adherence and fairness
• Review payroll accuracy and partner with operations on route adjustments
• Manage daily exception processing including reschedules, cancellations, and claim investigations
• Conduct on-road observations and Safe Work Habits Assessments
• Oversee DOT compliance and safety standards for drivers and equipment
• Lead drivers daily to ensure readiness, monitor performance metrics, and coach for improvement
• Support inbound/outbound processes and staging of product and paperwork in 3PL locations
• Assess waste/recycling operations and recommend improvements
• Drive a culture of professionalism and customer satisfaction

What You'll Need

• Home appliance installation knowledge or mechanical aptitude with ability to learn the installation process
• Transportation operations expertise including routing, scheduling, DOT regulations, and safety compliance
• Hands-on leadership experience with ability to fill in during absences and peak seasons
• Strong coaching and driver development skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to train and onboard drivers effectively
• Must obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year. Full-time position.
