About the Role
Temco Logistics, a subsidiary of The Home Depot, is hiring a Driver Manager in Oildale, CA to lead operations and driver teams in a white-glove appliance delivery environment. This leadership position focuses on transportation operations, compliance oversight, and ensuring exceptional service delivery in the final-mile appliance installation space. You'll manage scheduling, DOT compliance, and driver performance while maintaining Temco's brand standards.
What You'll Do
- Monitor on-road operations and support drivers with calls, exceptions, and issue resolution
- Prepare manifests, review routing for optimization and DOT compliance, and coordinate changes with the MDO team
- Train and onboard new customer service staff and drivers
- Build office and driver schedules and ensure hours adherence
- Review payroll accuracy and partner with Driver Managers on route adjustments
- Manage check-in compliance and daily exception processing (MARS, reschedules, cancellations)
- Oversee DOT compliance and safety standards for drivers and equipment
- Conduct on-road observations and Safe Work Habits Assessments
- Lead and support drivers daily to ensure readiness and success
- Monitor performance metrics and coach drivers for improvement
- Investigate freight and Sedgewick claims
- Partner with operations to optimize routes and maintain fairness
- Support inbound/outbound processes in 3PL locations
- Drive a culture of professionalism and customer satisfaction
What You'll Need
- Home appliance installation knowledge or mechanical aptitude with ability to learn the installation process
- Transportation operations knowledge including routing, scheduling, DOT and safety compliance
- Hands-on leadership experience with ability to fill in during absences or busy seasons
- Valid DOT medical card (required and must be maintained)
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent training and onboarding abilities for drivers
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with transportation management systems and compliance tools
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000–$85,000 annually. Full-time position.
