Residential Appliance Installation Technician

About the Role

JP Appliance is hiring residential appliance installation technicians for project-based work throughout Southern California. As an appliance installer working for this established husband-and-wife operated company, you'll deliver quality installation services on residential housing projects, college and university campuses, and military installations in the San Diego area and beyond.

What You'll Do

• Install residential appliances on active job sites in Southern California
• Operate hand tools with proficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with other trades on busy, multi-trade job sites
• Perform material handling and stair climbing as needed during installations
• Travel to project locations beyond the immediate San Diego area
• Wear required PPE including hard hats, reflective vests, and steel-toe boots
• Pass background checks as required by military installations and job sites

What You'll Need

• Experience in appliance installation preferred but not required for the right candidate
• Strong understanding and hands-on ability with hand tools
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing 50+ pounds regularly
• Willingness to climb stairs and work on multi-level installations
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for travel to project sites
• Self-starter mentality with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks as required
• Physical capability for active construction environments

Compensation & Benefits

Starting hourly wage is $18 per hour with increases based on experience. Paid workers compensation is included. 401(k) benefits are offered after a 1-year preliminary employment period.
